Hey everybody !!!!
I only have 3 months before I begin training for the Race in Georgia! Each day, this reality is coming closer and closer to the surface.
The past 6 months of my life has been full of constant change; moving to different places, living out of a suitcase and backpack, staying with different people and families, and not having the same home for longer than a month. The future holds nothing short of that.
Part of me feels overwhelmed and thinks that there's no way that I'll be able to continue to live this lifestyle for the next entire year.
But, another part of me feels deep gratitude for this season because I have adjusted to this lifestyle and it will be less of a shock to me to leave somewhere familiar to go somewhere unknown.
I am grateful to be staying in Oregon for now because last weekend I had the privilege to meet one of my teammates, Ethan Johnston!! He's from Puyallup, WA, and drove down to Oregon. We got to know each other by me kicking his butt at Topgolf, getting absolute fire BLTs and pancakes at La Provence, and taking a spontaneous road trip to the coast while jamming to worship and country music!!! Meeting him made the Race feel so much more real and made me so so so excited to meet the rest of my team.
The future holds so much goodness, community, intimacy, beauty, and revival, I'm now so sure of it! I can't wait to be surrounded by people my age who are pursuing the heart of God. And to be with them for 9 whole months!? I'm so blessed!!! Thanks God!!!!!
